About the Job:
We are looking for a talented Android Engineer to build next-gen mobile experiences for millions of users. You'll work with AI-powered 3D design tools, optimize performance, and experiment with new features to push the limits of what's possible. Important Note:
- For the on-site employment in our offices in Vilnius, Lithuania and Amsterdam, Netherlands we are only considering candidates with a valid residence permit. Visa sponsorship is available if you hold primary residence with work authorization.
- For remote employment you should be prepare working as a Contractor under B2B service agreement.
Responsibilities:
- Work on interesting and complex features, from simpler tasks like building custom views and APIs to 2D/3D graphics, VR, AI, CRDT and similar
- Develop a modular codebase, conduct thorough code reviews, follow best practices and coding guidelines.
- Utilize popular Android libraries and Kotlin solutions
- Be involved in all aspects of the product development, from pixel-perfect design to analytics, payments, and user authentication
- Write tests, refactor code, improve existing implementations, and fix bugs
- Collaborate closely with a team of highly skilled developers, designers, and managers.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience of Android development
- Android frameworks, libraries, services, ecosystem, … (Android SDK, Dagger, Jetpack, Apache Commons, …)
- Understanding of best practices - SOLID, STUPID, design patterns, writing tests, writing self-documenting or well documented code, etc.
- Kotlin and Java programming languages
- Databases (SQL, SQLite, Room)
- Concurrent and parallel development, including Kotlin coroutines, RxJava)
- Supporting technologies - REST, JSON, XML, HTML, Git, Protobuf)
Additional Skills (Preferred but not required):
- 2D and/or 3D graphics (Canvas, OpenGL, Vulkan, …)
- Experience with app payments and user authentication development
- Fluent English skills
